Recipients from passed array, Not a recordset on same page...

Recipients from passed array, Not a recordset on same page...

Hey Guys

I'm wondering if there is a way to send emails to the recipient array, and not have the other array addresses included in every email?

I'm am sending an email with the array passed from another page that holds the recordset, then using php implode to comma separate the individual addresses in the address field of the form, woks great in the form field... only thing is that all the array email addresses are included in all emails.

Is it possible to loop through the array and not include the arrays email addresses in every email?

Example email form contains:

mail object---
$RecipArray[$CurIndex][] = "".((isset($_POST["Email_Address"]))?$_POST["Email_Address"]:"") ."";

form---
<input id="Email_Address" name="Email_Address" type="text" value="<?php echo(isset($_POST['send_bulk_email'])?implode(", ",$_POST['send_bulk_email']):""); ?>" class="formTextfield_Large" tabindex="2" onblur="hideServerError('Email_Address_ServerError');"/>

I can't seem to get it to work on the Advanced To: settings as that only accepts recordsets on the page as arrays... Possible feature request??

Let me know...

Thanks
Tony

This would require hand coding to accomplish, we could help you set this up in a premiere support appointment:

Hey Jason
I wasn't expecting to hear from you till Monday... Thanks so much for the reply on a Saturday!

I can pass the data in a session and than I'll use it in UE, just trying to limit server resources as passing an array is more "lightweight".

I'll put it up on the feature request for UE... I'm sure it would be useful to those incorporating email capability into existing pages.

Have a nice "rest-of-the-weekend!"

do session values loop in advanced To: settings?

Hey Jason,

I have since tried to use a session for the passed email addresses using Ecart set session value Server Behavior and my passed array...

the session sets fine, and the array data is present. I have dumped it on the page successfully.

I then proceed to use UE advanced To: to use that session and I can see it and select it. doesn't seem to loop through the session as the email is only sent to the first recipient.

Is using the session value in the advanced To: set to loop?... a single address will send, or the first of the session array

you would need to hand code looping through the session, again, we can help you implement this through a premiere support appointment:

I Have passed this on to Ray, he should be in touch to schedule the session.

I have solved the loop!!... I just got off the phone with Ray.
He told me of your site's not processing support requests.
I wish I could have notified you before he took time to call me, I had just solved the loop from a session and had to run out to put out a "fire".

I will monitor the server resources and if sessions are too taxing I may still have you guys set me up with support looping the data passed in an array
instead of session storage....

Thanks again...
Tony
