Email not sending

I am using Databridge 1.2.0 and trying to send a basic email using Universal Email.
I have set it up with the basic settings needed to send and I am just using one of the default templates to test.
I'm also using Dreamweaver CS5.5 latest version to date.
Heart Internet is my hosting provider.

After filling out the form and hitting submit, I check my email, as I am sending to myself for testing, no emails received.

1) I see you are using a dynamic From Address, Many hosts require that the from address be a valid email address for you r domain and wont work when using a Dynamic address from the form.

2) you have left the email smtp server settings empty, you may need to enter a server address, you should contact the host if you are not sure what settings to use.

It needs to be dynamic because the person filling the form is the sender???

but most hosts wont accept a dynamic value for the from address.

you can use a static address for the from address, then click the from button and set the Reply to address to be the dynamic address from the form.

Ok I will give that a try and get back to you. Swift response Jason as usual. Thanks!

Still no joy I have added new attachments of my settings, could it be anything to do with CURL or a server setting?
I have tried both the server address as an IP and as mail.
After each change (test) I upload the email folder inside the webassist folder and the file with the behavior on.

I tried accessing the mail server you have entered using telnet:

telnet mail.sports-injury-physio.com 25

and got back an error that it could not connect to the server, so I don't think that address and port combination is valid. you should contact your host for details on the email settings you should be using for sending an email using a PHP script.

it may be that they wont support the standard mail object, and you will need to use the Pear Mail for SMTP object, but you need to get that information from them.

They came back to me and said to try port 587. I tried that and still no good, could you try telnet again on that port, as I am not sure how to do that?

Thanks

587 seams to work, but seams to require authentication. it may be that you need to use the pear mail for SMTP object.

ask the host if they have an example script for sending mail using php.

Thanks for checking for me. I have spoke to Heart Internet with your request, just waiting for them to get back to me. I will let you know how I get on.
