Make Maps responsive on Smartphones
I have an older site with the API, and pro maps. I need to make the maps responsive for smartphones. Wondering if I should switch to an embedded version instead and drop WA's Pro maps? Or is there an alternative?

The Google map API does not offer responsive support.
you would need to add manually add additional code to make the map responsive. through google i found the following example:

Thanks Jason. I book marked that for the future. Does the current Google Maps pro use v3 by default? I ended up using a show/hide div for 2 sizes of embedded maps straight from google map share...
Yes, the Pro Maps in Design Extender uses the V3 Map Api.
Hi not sure whether you solved this, but I have just updated a website to include a WA Pro map on a responsive website
All I did was to change style from pixels to a percentage
from: <div id="wagmp_map" style="width: 600px; height: 375px;"></div>
to: <div id="wagmp_map" style="width: 100%; height: 375px;"></div>
the map is placed in a responsive row, set to fixed width rather then fluid width
eg http://www.plattsvancentre.com/find-platts-stoke.php
the page has got 4 responsive break point and the map fits the width perfectly in all.
The depth is fixed, however the 375 pixel height works well on tablets and phones
hope this helps
Thanks
nathan
