CSS Form Builder crashes Dreamweaver every time I use it.

Creating forms with CSS Form Builder continues to be nothing but an exercise in futility. Every time I finish creating a form the program asks for my serial number. Once I've entered my serial number it crashes Dreamweaver. I'm not trying to do anything elaborate... just a basic little form that submits to an email address. It does this every time in every website I attempt to place a form. I'm just going to purchase another email program since DataBridge wastes entirely too much of my time and energy.

What version of Dreamweaver are you using?

What is your OS?

What extensions, including the version numbers are installed?

Site Import is conflicting with Design Extender.

The functionality of Site Import is included with Design Extender.

you should uninstall Site Import 3 and design Extender, then reinstall Design Extender. When you install design Extender, download the latest version, 1.1.9

Same result....

I did exactly as instructed... spent 30 minutes designing a new form... the program asked me for my serial number, which I provided... and it crashed again.

Now when I open Dreamweaver I get error messages. I've attached two of them. I looked for the cache file to delete it but it's not there.

try uninstalling Data Bridge, then installing it again.

The problem is in the email submission portion of the form builder

Ray called this morning and talked me through several issues. We were able to place a form on a web page successfully and I thought the issue was resolved. I created the form I wanted... made it look the way I wanted it to look... and it created the form with no problems. I then went back into the form to set it up to submit the form results to an email address and that's when it asked for my serial number again and crashed Dreamweaver.

The issue isn't with the form creation software. The issue is with the email submission software.

Dont edit the form to set the Email properties, instead, use the WebAssist -> Create Email Message access point to add the Universal Email functionality to the page.

It's the Create Email Message command that's the problem

I followed your instructions and created the form without specifying the email properties. The software created the form without a hitch. However, when I tried following your instruction to use the WebAssist -> Create Email Message access point I got the same software activation code screen I always get when I try to create forms with the email specified. When I input the activation code it crashed Dreamweaver again. At least we've narrowed the issue down to the email creation portion of the form creator.

Note: This was a different website from the one I was working on back in September when I contacted you with this issue initially.

There have been updates to the extensions released since you posted this:

Data Bridge 1.2.1
Design Extender 1.2.0
Free Tools 1.1.2

Please uninstall the texting versions, then install the new ones in the extension manager.

After the install is completed in the extension manager, open DW, this should start the WebAssist installer. If the WebAssist installer does not start automatically, open a php page to force it to start. After the webAssist installer completes, make sure to restart DW before trying to use the extensions.
