How to fix WADA connections file, and other, when using PHP 5.6 (error says mysql_pconnect() 'deprecated')

For the client, have installed WAMP on her machine, just recently. So she too can launch the site pages from her DW. PHP 5.6.17 came with the WAMP install. A pain, of course, to down-convert to a lower version; nor would she be happy if I tried to go there.

As a result, she cannot launch pages in the browser - PHP is throwing errors since as we know 5.6 enforces some deprecations, and of course the browser produces only the errors. In the attached screenshot.

How, please, do we change the connections file, as well as perhaps for the other two error lines, so that pages can load? This is a 'dynamic' connection. The connection at stake is just local of course. At the ISP we have PHP 5.3. That works fine now, without file modifications; and of course we want it to stay that way! If needed, will of course provide detail re the other two error lines, also.

Thanks, David

You need to change the error reporting level in the php.ini file to not include deprecated warnings.

Thanks so much, Jason.

Am not at her machine at the moment, to check. May I check, then - with the errors suppressed as per the link, the page will load, despite the (more) enforced deprecation in 5.6?

Thanks, David

yes, with the error level set to suppress deprecated warnings, the page should load
