auto-generating coupon code customization needed- Is this crazy or can someone help me with this?
Custom coding needed:
DESCRIPTION of coupon process & functionality for multiple quantity purchases:
When someone orders more than one;
(no discount, but tracking available)
1. a coupon code is automatically generated for distribution to chosen recipients (perhaps a code incorporating the unique orderID)
2. the coupon database table would set the number of coupon uses available to be equal to the quantity purchased
3. customer is sent receipt containing the coupon code to distribute
4. new info to be displayed on this customer's orders_details.php page:
-coupon code to send to the people for whom the purchases were made
-embedded in or a link to a new 'read only' page reporting basic info on exactly who has used this coupon code
(first and last name, email and date of registration)
-on the "coupon use" reporting page, a .csv or .xls file available for download.
-number of coupon uses yet unused
