multiple update not working

I've looked through the answers to similar questions, but the they aren't applicable.

I have created a simple multiple update page; the repeat selection area works and populates the table properly - but no updates happen when the button is pressed.

I've compared this new page to existing pages that have working multiple updates, but can't see anything different, so I'm at a loss as to why it doesn't work (I have redone it several times, with the same result). I bet it's something obvious!

we looked at this in a connect meeting, the problem was the recordset was not retuning the column using for the ID.
