Progress bar not working properly

Hi. I have duplicated a php file containing a form with progress bar and have made some updates to the form. When testing what would happen when a user tries to submit without filling in all the required fields, the progress bar comes up and does not stop. On the original form the progress bar would come up briefly and then the user is able to correct the form.

Here is a link to the form that works:
http://www.mindworks.cc/education/flip-forms.php

and here is the form that is not working so well:
http://www.mindworks.cc/education/newsForm2.php

I have attached the php files (newsForm is the one not working).

Your help will be much appreciated.

You should avoid duplicating pages with forms.

instead you should recreate the form on the new page, duplicating the form is a recipe for disaster.
