sending email from a form upgraded to DW CC

I just upgraded to DW CC on a Mac (I'm new to Macs) and everything looks different. I can't figure out how to get a form to send an email. I've installed Databridge. I installed the deprecated server behaviors for php and mysql from Adobe. I see Web assist in the menu on the top and the "Send an email" tab is there but nothing happens when I select it.

after installing Data Bridge in the Extension manager, did the WebAssist installer run when you opened DW?

try uninstalling Data Bridge, then installing it again. when you open Dreamweaver the WebAssist installer should run to finish the installation, if not open a php page to trigger the installer. After the webassist installer completes, make sure to restart DW.

TO add universal email to a page, go to:
WebAssist -> Create Email Message.

working with databases in Dreamweaver CC

Thanks for the suggestions, Jason, which worked. I've discovered that many of the server behaviors that were native to Dreamweaver in earlier versions work very poorly now. For example, adding a repeat region to a row to show a recordset actually inserts the repeat behavior for the whole table instead of the row. And the old files I have that are full of PHP programming with record sets no longer render in the design view, so I seem to be reduced to hand coding.

I'm hoping you can give me some hope that I'm wrong about these things. Is it possible I somehow got a bum install of the deprecated behaviors? Or has web assist got a better extension to replace them?

When you add a repeat region, make sure to select the tr tag in the tag selector at the bottom of the design view screen.

as for live view not rendering, this is most likely a problem with the testing server settings in the site definition.
