Character limitation?

I have one of these working fine but a client needed to post more characters than original set to a record. The DB was updated from LongText to MediumBlob to accommodate the required text.

Now the HTML editor does not load the longer text though does insert properly but shows blank/empty when the admin page is loaded and the HTML editor should be filled with text. It also properly loads the prior database entries that were present prior to the data type change.

Character count is just over 7k

FYI, I can echo the values just fine to the page to confirm they exist in the DB but just populate the HTML editor (see screenshot)

I'll need to troubleshoot directly, see the private message section.
