Multiple Ecart Add To Cart Buttons

There is a website that I am setting up for a tires and wheels store. They have not only wheels and tires that will be added to the cart which I have 1 Add To Cart button for these items. My question is, if the user wants to add Warranty to the tires selected, how do I set that up?

Would I have two Add To Cart Buttons and have the one for just the tires and the other if they want the tires and warranty? Or how is the best way to set something like this up?

The simplest way to accomplish this will be to use two add to cart buttons, one for the tires, one for the tires with a warranty.

A more complex way would be to add a warranty column to the cart, make sure to set the unique attribute. In the Add to Cart server behavior, set the warranty column to be updatable from a select list. To the select list that is added, add options for with and without warranty. Set the value for without warranty to 0 and with warranty to the cost of the warranty.

you then need to create calculations to affect the price of the products. On the Calculation tab. create a calculation called truePrice:
[Price] + [Warranty]

and change the total Price calculation:
[Price] * [Quantity]

To:
([Price] + [Warranty]) * [Quantity]

another question

First thanks for the quick response. I will try your method. I had another question as I get deeper into building this site. How do you set the (shipping from destination) for different store locations that would be shipping?

are you asking about in the UPS or USPS shipping service?

How are you determining the location the shipment will come from?

I will need some more specifics to address this question.
