Universal Email Errors

Hello,
I've applied Universal Email to an account for a simple contact us for submission. I've done this countless times but I'm getting the following error in the browser directly after submit (this error is also showing up on the form submission that comes through email): Warning: date(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected the timezone 'UTC' for now, but please set date.timezone to select your timezone. in /home/johnedel/public_html/webassist/email/mail_php.php on line 187

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/johnedel/public_html/webassist/email/mail_php.php:187) in /home/johnedel/public_html/contact.php on line 86

Any thoughts?????

this error means that the date.timezone is not set in the servers php.ini file:

datetime.configuration.php#ini.date.timezone

you will need to contact the host to have them correct the issue.

alternately, you can add the following code at line 1 of the form page to set the timezone:

<?php date_default_timezone_set('America/Chicago'); ?>

The list of valid timezones is here...

Hi Jason,

Thank you very much, we contacted GoDaddy and was able to resolve the issue. For future possible posts, GoDaddy accounts that have been converted to a "c panel" configuration will need to update their php.ini file in their hosting account. Just an FYI, very annoying but now we know.

Thanks again!
