Client is changing paypal account

One of my clients needs to change their PayPal account. How do I need to approach this in eCart. Is it just a matter of changing the PayPal login details or is it more complex?

The type of account will be the same. I'm just using Paypal Express checkout.

Is this a eCart 6 site?

if so, go to:
WebAssist -> eCart -> Payment Gateway Credentials

here you can change the API Details for connecting to payPal Express.

Hi Jason,

No, it's eCart5 I'm afraid. I created it in eCart 5 (although I do have eCart 6 installed). For this website I'm editing in CS6 with eCart 5. Bit scared to upgrade it in case it all goes pear shaped! ;-)

ok, then, there are 3 server behaviors to edit. 1 on the checkout page and 2 on the pp_confirm page

checkout:
-Authentication for paypal express checkout
pp_confirm:
-Get payer profile from Paypal express checkout
-Process transaction with Paypal express checkout.

in each of those server behaviors, you need to change the API Credentials being used.

Hi Jason,

Just one thing. On the checkout.php page I seem to have the API details twice. It looks to me like the code is repeated. I've attached the page and wonder if you can just have a look and tell me if it's OK to delete the duplication (or not). Points of reference for the deletion (should it be necessary) would be appreciated.

I'm sorry Jason, I made an error. I opened pp_confirn as you suggested and then confirm.php (as you didn't suggest). It's this file that has the repeated code (I've attached it for reference). I'm assuming that PayPal Express doesn't use that file and that's why you never mentioned it?

Sorry once again. there is only one instance on the checkout page.

Confirm is used by Direct Checkout (This is when the user enters credit card info on your site) not by express checkout.

you can delete one of the eCart Local Checkout servers behaviors from that page.
