Serious db errors--major bug!!

We've just installed Powerstore 2 and have been testing it for a client. I am sorry to say there are SERIOUS issues with this product, and the lack of tech support is not encouraging. I mean, no phone support? Come on.

Here's the issue: If you change a SKU on a product to something like 151-2 then check the "update all options" button, everything is fine ON THAT INDIVIDUAL PRODUCT, but ALL remaining products actually get their SKU updated to 149--THE SKU FIELD PERFORMS A MATH CALCULATION, the applies it to products that aren't even related to the SKU you changed.

This is inexcusable. We're also discovering that data disappears from the CART DESCRIPTION field anytime you make ANY OTHER change.

This product is buggy as Hell and we're VERY unhappy. I expected MUCH more from WebAssist, we use many of their other plug-ins. Powerstore 1 works fine, for example.

Please let us know if a fix is forthcoming for these and I'm sure numerous other problems. While you're at it, a UNIVERSAL button to apply your custom options to ALL products would be handy. And expected.

We've custom-rolled our own commerce sites for 15 years and were hoping to shorten development time significantly. This product is SO CLOSE. If you could get rid of the bugs and add some more expected tools, you'd have a HUGE success on your hands. As it sits now though, with only forum-based tech support and a MAJOR BUG we can hardly recommend, and certainly cannot use, this product.

If there is not an acceptable solution to the major SKU problem, we'll want a refund.

Hi,

I was able to reproduce this issue you are having with Powerstore in regard to the SKU.

I have logged a bug in our bug base and the fix should be included in a future dot release. Meanwhile i have listed the instruction on how to fix this issue which it should be straightforward:

1. open the Products_Update.php page and replace line 240 with this line:

$query .= ((isset($_POST['AllSKU']))?"ProductSKU='".$AllSKU."',":"");

This should fix the SKU issue.

Thanks and a SKU question

Thanks, your fix worked, and we appreciate the quick response.

Question: Is there any way to have the "apply to all options" only apply to one set of options? For example, our client has four maternity bras: white, rosewood, black and white, each with different sizes. We would like to apply the rosewood COLOR (option) to SKU 115-R, for example, and NOT to ALL the different bras. Or you could also say that we don't want to have to upload the same photo for the rosewood color to each of the 5 sizes that color is available in. We'd like to apply one photo to only certain options.

Thanks again.

No, with the current implementation you won't be able to apply the update all to certain options. This will require a lot of custom coding to the update page and possibly adding a column to your products table.
