Issue with column sort - Unknown column

Issue with column sort - Unknown column

Not quite sure what has happened here - I have two instances of column sorting, for results of Events and Venues.

If I log in and search for Events, I get my results page, I can sort and it all works just as it should.

But if I then try to search for a Venue, I get an error, but only if I have applied the sort to my Events results.

For example, if I sort my Event results by the Date column, and then try to search for a Venue, I get an error about the Date field being unknown.

And the same thing if I sort my Venue results, and then go to search for an Event.

The Events results have a join so that I can search for Events based on a Venue, but I'm not sure if that's causing the issue.

I have attached both search and results pages below.

Hopefully its something simple, as they are working independently of one another - its only when you try one after the other it breaks.

Thanks.

looks like this is a bug where the sort is using the same session on both pages, I have logged this in our system to be corrected in a future update.

on the venue page, do a find for:
$_SESSION["WADA_OrderClause_index2"]

and change each instance to:
$_SESSION["WADA_Venue_OrderClause_index2"]

Thanks Jason - did you change anything? Looking at it now, the Events search isn't working. (I'm sure it was yesterday).

I made a copy of the version here, and downloaded the results page from the server, but couldn't see anything though.

I made no changes, i only examined the code of the files you sent yesterday, you did not give FTP access, without FTP access there is no way for me to make any changes.

Not sure what happened there then - were you able to view / search for events when you looked earlier?

Yes, it worked for me earlier.

Hi Jason - I copied in the PHP code form the original file that DA created, and that got the results back.

I have managed to break the sort now though (on the events results page). I have been looking at it compared to the venue results which are fine, and just when I think I've got it, something goes AWOL.

I have attached the file as it currently is - the only conclusion I have reached is that the line:

setQueryBuilderSource($query_WADAEvents,$WADA_Sort_1,false);

seems to be the difference between it displaying any results, and no results. So its out at the minute, but I think should probably be in.

Can you have a quick look and see if you can spot what's up?

I have included some FTP details below in case you need them.

Thanks.

yes, that line:
setQueryBuilderSource($query_WADAEvents,$WADA_Sort_1,false);

should be in the file.

Can you add it back in and have a look?

If I add it back in, the results page returns no results.
