Undefined Errors

Undefined Errors

This PHP generated by the MySQLi recordset behaviors gives me a "Notice: Undefined index: xxxx in [path] " for nearly EVERY instance where I use the MySQLi recordset behavior. Here is a sample of the code lines causing the error (indented):

$rsSearch = new WA_MySQLi_RS("rsSearch",$JUA_i,1);
$rsSearch->setQuery("SELECT * FROM breakingnews WHERE breakingnews.Headline LIKE ? OR breakingnews.NewsArticle LIKE ? OR breakingnews.StartDate = ?");
$rsSearch->bindParam("c", "".$_GET['Headline'] ."", "-1xyz"); //varHeadline
$rsSearch->bindParam("c", "".$_GET['NewsArticle'] ."", "-1xyz"); //varNewsArticle
$rsSearch->bindParam("t", "".$_GET['StartDate'] ."", "xyz"); //varStartDate

Google search reports (Stack Overflow) the error can be corrected by using isset(). Any ideas?

This is a problem with the way Dreamweaver writes code for URL variable bindings, when you select a URL binding, Dreamweaver writes the code as:

<?php echo $_GET['varName']; ?>

more correct code would be:

<?php echo(isset($_GET['varName'])?$_GET['varName']:""); ?>
