Connection Error

Connection Error

When i try to create a connection I get this:

http error code 401 unauthorized

These same connection settings work fine in CS3 but will not work in the WebAssist Connection settings

Any ideas?

The MySQLi server behaviors is not supported in Dreamweaver CS3

Let me rephrase,

I am using WebAssist in Dreamweaver CC

When I attempt to create a connection i get this error: http error code 401 unauthorized

I know the connection information is correct because I can establish connections to the database in other programs.

Double check the site definition, specifically the settings for the testing server, and make sure they are the same in DW CC as they are in DW CS3 for the site.

The problem is that the entire website is protected by an .htaccess file. The connection works fine if I remove that file.

I can work around this for now but when the site goes live I cant remove the .htaccess file. Is there a workaround for this?

what ever in the htaccess file is preventing the database connection would need to be removed.
