installation of Data Bridge 1.2.0 fails to install

Ok... this is getting frustrating...
I un-installed DB 1.1.9 and DBE 1.1.8 for CC ( and yes i used the CC downloader) and tried to install the latest version of DB... it looks like it installs
1. it shows up in extension manager
2. When I start up DW it shows up in the menu
3. open and save a PHP page to add a form and nothing happens
4. Note that i do not see the normal installation menu showing downloading files and asking for the serial number.
5. I uninstall the extension using extension manager
6. clear the MAC Cache file
7. try to reinstall and still same problem....

What next???

Well i decided to give it another go...
1. Un-installed DB 1.2.0 cleared the MacCache file - Reinstalled DB 1.2.0 - opened DW
2. This time i saw the window with downloading software and then i selected done.
3. Tried to add a form on a new saved PHP page and still nothing..
4. Closed DW and opened a php page tried to add a form and now get a Java script error as shown in the uploaded file.

I will leave it here until you reply..

after the install completes and you select done, you need to restart DW before trying to use Data Bridge.

1) close DW.
2) Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:
http://www.webassist.com/tutorials/Common-installation-issues
3) open the Extension manger
4) uninstall Data Bridge, then install it again
5) Open DW and a php page to launch the WebAssist installer.
6) when complete, restart DW

followed your instructions and same error as shown in my earlier image.
Also please note that at no time was i ever prompted to enter a serial number as in the earlier versions when i tried to create a form. I was able to get WA to prompt for a serial number by calling on another application within the DB extension.

I looked for WATrigger.js in the Scripts folder that the error called out and it is not there. Was your installation supposed to create it? I looked for other similar issues in the past under your help history and there was an instance that a .version release was required to correct this issue.

What was the answer?

It would be really wonderful to hear what the solution to Lewis' problem with installation. I'm having the exact issue with a job due in the early morning, and there isn't time to have a call.

When there are problems like this it would be really helpful to hear what the possible issues at hand are so that we can work on problems like this from a semi-educated starting point.

Most likely it is a problem with the Extension manager.

Try uninstalling the Extension manager for dreamweaver then reinstall it. also, rename the users configuration folder, for help locating the users configuration folder, see the common installation issues:
http://www.webassist.com/tutorials/Common-installation-issues

once you locate the configuration folder, rename it to something like configuration_back, then open Dreamweaver to recreate the configuration folder.

Then try installing the Deprecated server behaviors extension

for DW CC 2014:
http://www.webassist.com/tutorials/Deprecated-Server-Behaviors-for-Dreamweaver-Creative-Cloud

for DW CC:
http://www.webassist.com/tutorials/Server-behaviors-for-Dreamweaver-Creative-Cloud

open dreamweaver and make sure the Window -> Server Behaviors, Data Base access point's exists.

Close Dreamweaver, then install Data Bridge, when you open Dreamweaver again, make sure the WebAssist installer completes, restart DW once it finishes.
