The install process would have started because not all of the files where uploaded to the server.

when uploading to the live site from local:

-edit the files in the Connections folder to use the correct info for connecting to the remote database.

-Upload all site files including the installed.txt file in the connections folder to the server.

-export the database from the local server and import it to the remote server.

this page has details on exporting and importing databases using phpMyAdmin.

Since you already did the install on local host, it should not try to do the install again.

the install is triggered if the /Conenctions/installed.txt file is not uploaded to the server,

make sure to upload all the files in the connections folder to the server.
