cannot get add cart button to function

Hi _ I have used e-cart 5 with success. I am trying to use e-cart 6.06 but am having trouble with the add to cart button functionality. I have followed the tutorials on the webassist site, but cannot get the button on the detail page to take me to the checkout cart.I have add a zip attachment that includes the relevant files. Thanks for you help - John H

The most obvius problem i see is that there are blank lines between php code blocks at lines 5, 6, and 8. these blank lines between php code blocks will cause the redirection to the cart page to fail. they should be deleted.

if you still have problems, I'll need to troubleshoot directly, see the private message section.

checkout process unreliable

Checkout from paypal goes to checkout_success.php most of the time. Sometimes goes to the cart.php - cart is empty.

Most likely domain switching on the transactions that don't go through.

if they start the order using the www address for your site, when redirected to the non www address for the site it will fail since that would be considered a separate domain.

you can use htaccess to force all traffic to use the www or non www address for your site:

After PP checkout if all works correctly what page is supposed to be seen next - confirm_cart.php or checkout_success.php??

Express checkout goes directly from paypal to checkout success or failure based on transaction status.

You will need to work with your host to get this working. This is a server configuration issue.
