custom record set not acting quite right

custom record set not acting quite right

I am using 2 record sets in an attempt to specify several options (cold, memory, etc) of a single product. The first record set is a "Group By" option name, the second lists all options within the product category. The end goal is that when a product is added to database, user through each option group and clicks a check box for each available option (color: red, black, green).

What is happening is that the group level record set with the repeat behavior is working as expected, for the record I am testing there 7 available options and all appear as expected. Where this gets weird is that for the first group of options, I get all expected options, but for each of the remaining 6 option groups, no options appear. There is a second repeat region behavior applied within the first repeat region.

The record set which lists all options for the group was filtered by a hidden field within the row to a related option group ID number. I can see that each option group is capturing this value, I drug in a binding to show the option group number that should be the value of the hidden field.

I have tried applying repeat region to both table and then row, and the last attempt was by DIV tag, both are still in the attached file, but the repeat regions are only applied to the DIV.

I have attached the file in work, I have also attached a screen shot of what I am seeing in testing.

Several years ago, there was a Mark Fletcher video on your site called "Custom Record Sets"; this is what I was attempting to build. I have not been able to find this video to check if I followed all instructions. I also know that this is slightly different than what the video was building.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

looks like you are trying to create nested recordsets.

see this tutorial:

New problem, insert multiple records is redirecting to home page without inserting records

Insert multiple records redirects to home page without inserting records. Have tested all of the hidden fields, not seeing anything wrong with record sets. Insert Multiple Records behavior appears as normal as it gets in set up of behavior. Tried twice, identical results with different files. I have attached last attempt. I did notice at the end of the server behavior code that the redirect URL looked empty, not sure what that has to do with records not inserting.

Thanks,

one problem i see is that the multiple insert behavior is in the page body.

it should be above the doctype tag instead.

built new page without nested records, problem with insert multiple records

I tried this without nested records, insert multiple records worked in prior testing on a similar file. This one is showing the same problem as prior in that redirect is to home page and no records are inserted into the target table. I checked location, does not appear to be problem this time.

I do not know if it is possible for this to be related to this issue or not, but one related table somehow had all records deleted this week, I have not done any work with delete record/multiple records this week.

I'll need to troubleshoot directly, see the private message section.
