Shipping is confusing me....

Shipping is confusing me....

My experience so far with USPS indicates that after a certain amount of weight, it automatically forces priority mail. I think the threshold for this is 13 or 14 ounces for domestic orders and... something far more than that for international. (I haven't had an international customer breach that threshold yet. I think it is in the vicinity of 3 or 4 lbs.)
However, when attempting to run a test order with a weight that should have triggered that shift and only offered me priority mail, it still showed both options. It also did not seem to be altering the shipping cost for the additional weight of items I had added.
Does cafecommerce shipping actually work with the weight of the ENTIRE order?
And if so, why is the forced shift to priority mail not occuring?

What is the address for your store?

It should be accounting for total weight
It may not remove the priority option but will charge for the actual service

And if it will/is accounting for total weight, it may just have been a problem with something not refreshing for me personally. I mostly wanted to check and make sure of that was what was supposed to happen.
I have a lot of varying weight on the various options we allow for our teas, and from the way it looks like everything should work, cafecommerce is going to be a godsend.
