Problem with datepicker.css and JQuery Validation

Please see the attached screenshot.

When I add a datepicker to my form the jquery-custom.css file causes the validated fields to be light grey. But inside the jquery-custom.css there are no styles that correspond to the field styles. How can I prevent the jquery-custom.css from changing the fiel styles of the validated fields?

When I remove the jquery-custom.css the form fileds show the correct styles in validation.

Second: where can I change the Datepickers design?

Thanks for any help.

send a link where i can see the problem, it is impossible to troubleshoot design related problems without being able to see the problem.

  Second: where can I change the Datepickers design?

in design view, select the Data Picker element, there will be a blue bounding box around it, select the blue bounding box, that will trigger the edit button in the property inspector. Click the edit button to launch the date picker UI, you can change the date picker design there.

in the webassist/forms/fd_swisswebfactory_bravehearts/Datepicker/css/jquery-custom.css file, change:

.ui-state-error, .ui-widget-content .ui-state-error {
border: 1px solid #CD0A0A;
background: #FEF1EC url(images/ui-bg_inset-soft_95_fef1ec_1x100.png) 50% bottom repeat-x;
color: #CD0A0A;
}

to:
.ui-state-error, .ui-widget-content .ui-state-error {
border: 1px solid #CD0A0A;
/*background: #FEF1EC url(images/ui-bg_inset-soft_95_fef1ec_1x100.png) 50% bottom repeat-x;*/
color: #CD0A0A;
}

I can't find a way to edit the datepicker. I select the datepiacker filed but there is no edit button. Please see the attached screenshot.

Thanks in advance

In your screen shot, look at the design view side. Notice the blue bounding box surrounding the date picker filed.

Click that blue bounding box to trigger the edit option in the property inspector.

I know, I click on it but nothing happens. I do only see the preferences of the datepicker but I can't change the design of it. Or where do I have to click after selecting the blue surrounding?!

I feel like being a complete beginner ... :p
