powerMessenger

I installed PowerMessenger for a client on 1&1 hosting. It was work great for a while but know when it gets stuck sending and they stop and start it again it is resending to the emails that all ready received the news letter. Is there a fix for that?

I'll need to troubleshoot directly, see the private message section.

The server may indeed stop responding on send ing the email, that is not something that can be fixed as there are too many possibilities for why that may happen, most of which are server related issues, not script related.

when it stops responding, you should be able to stop the mailing and restart it and have it start at the emails that have not yet been sent to.

Yes that is what I thought. However it seems that when they start it up again it is resending the email to the users who already received them.

to trouble shoot that, I need a mailing set up that I can test with.

one you dont mind being sent a few times.

When they restart, does the cont show that it is starting at 1 of however many?

or does the count show that it is restarting at some thing like 234 of however many?

One thing that may be happening is that it is only resending to 1 recipient.

it may that the email sends, then it fails on updating the record in the database that it has sent to that person. So when it restarts, it resends to that one person. If that is what is happening, I'm afraid there wont be a fix for that.
