Question of the Day: Browser Stats (I hope I dont get banned for this)

Hi all, ok Id like to find out from all you developers on here, your views/opinions on the current browser stats as of March 2014.

Im looking at website at the current figures and thankfully IE is decreasing further....

Not I know many don't like IE but I still design with it initially in mind (this is the part where I hope I dont get banned for saying my statement on IE lol). But the way I see it is that still a lot of people are buying computers with IE pre-installed and if they are not tech savvy then the will continue using that version.

I have noticed that IE has a market share of around 9.7% as of March and within that IE8 has a market share of 2.5%.

However since a lot of the state of the art bells and whistles frameworks that are out there that now support things like Parallax scrolling, some of the best one don't seem to support IE8. So there comes a a website that doesn't look amazing. But works with IE8 a state of the art website that just gives the wow factor. wont display correctly in IE8?

At least with IE9, IE10 and IE11 things play a little nicer :)

I've noticed also recently (now I know it could just be me coding badly) that Firefox doesn't seem to place nicely with the latest version I downloaded the other day. Mainly due to its font render engine (comparing it to the font engine of Chrome for example)

Anyway, be interested to find out other developer's views and opinions?
