I finished the double opt in web security video on youtube. when i try to get to my user update page and the web browser just goes white. Reading some past forums i put the php code on line one so that i could see the error.

these codes come up on white page now:

Deprecated: mysql_pconnect(): The mysql extension is deprecated and will be removed in the future: use mysqli or PDO instead in /Users/Cheston/localhost/HCProductions/Connections/HCProductions.php on line 9

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /Users/Cheston/localhost/HCProductions/userupdate.php:9) in /Users/Cheston/localhost/HCProductions/webassist/security_assist/helper_php.php on line 84

looking to make all of this work again.

thanks,
cheston

Dreamweaver and Security Assist use the mysql_pconnect() funciton for connecting to the Database.

The error is saying that function is deprecated in your PHP Version.

To use Dreamweaver database connections and Security Assist in your PH environment, you will need to contact the host to have them enable the mysql library in the php.ini file so the mysql_pconnect() functon can be used.

they should also set the error reporting level to not show Deprecated messages.

We will be updating Security Assist to use the suggested MySQLi library in the near future, but for now, the mysql library needs to be used.
