Unable to activate software

Hi
I have just downloaded and installed the Dreamweaver tools for Google. The activation window comes up requesiting a serial # - I enter this and it tellls me this has been verified. When I go to activate it I get an error saying.....

"Unable to connect to server - Your firewall or anti-virus software is blocking the online activation . Disable all firewall and antii-virus sofrtware aand try again. If you continue to have problem submit a techinal support request"

We have a proxy server running and the firewall is turned off on my PC.

Any ideas how to get this working will be appreciated!

Google tools Extension problem

I have just downloaded and installed the Dreamweaver tools for Google. TWhen I go to activate it I get an error saying.....

"Unable to connect to server -

How to activate? I have disabled firewall and antivirus but still get the same error.

I'm having activation problems too

Hi there,

Same problem as above - cannot get this extenstion to work as my firewall is supposedly blocking it. Please can you arrange a ticket or whatever you have to do to get it working properly please. Thanks

Having The Same Problem

Hi

I'm having the same problem when trying to install extensions in Dreamweaver CS4. I do have Dreamweaver CS3 installed and the extensions activate fine but I would like to move over to CS4 if possible.

Any help sorting this would be appreciated.

Are you getting the error about the connection or another error? Please post back with a little info about the error you are getting when trying to activate and I can help get you going in the right direction.

Hi Eric,

The error message I'm getting is shown below.

I've tried turning off Windows firewall but that has no effect. 1 thing worth noting is I am still able to activate extensions in DW CS3. The problem only occurs in my CS4 installation which I am hoping to migrate over too.
