still struggling with sandbox

using eCart 6.0.5/Dreamweaver CC/MacOSX Mavericks

The last update seemed to help on a lot of fronts, but I am still unable to make it work with PayPal sandbox. It continually reports that the Security Header is not valid (error code 10002).

Using a regular PayPal account, everything seems fine. I have ensured that the credentials are all correct. I'd be grateful for any suggestions/direction you could offer.

the response back fro paypal is:

Security header is not valid

this happens if the API creadentials are not correct.

Be aware that ewhen using the sandbox, you need to havce seperate API credentials.

the live API credentials will not work in the sand box.

you need to request sandbox api credentials from paypal, then enter them in the webassist -> eCart -> Payment Gateway Credentials screen.

I have a live account and a separate sandbox account. I'm quite sure I'm using the proper credentials from the sandbox account. I have checked and double checked that.

In the PM, I have copied the credentials. I think you'll see they match the request (also part of the PM). The request looks a little strange (a closing subject tag, but no opening that I saw, for example), but I'm no expert about this.

the Security header is not valid means that paypal is not accepting the API credentials.

if you are sure you have the correct credentials entered, than make sure that you have accepted the billing agreement.

sometimes paypal just generates bad credentials, and you need to request new ones.

Not sure what billing agreement you mean. I've cruised through the sandbox store settings and don't see a billing agreement. Everything seems pretty normal and complete.

I've gotten new credentials, killed and restarted sandbox accounts. Very frustrating, particularly since I have to have a test site setup for prospective customers of my client to use. I can't easily get around not having a sandbox store.

when you request sand box credentials, there will be a billing agreement that you need to accept, if you have not accepted the billing agreement, the credentials will not be valid.

if you need help getting the agreement, contact paypal support.
