what version of eCart is installed?

Make sure to install the most recent version, 6.0.5.

Uninstall the previous version of eCart from the extension manager, then install the newer 6.0.5 version.

after the install is complete in the extension manager, open DW, and a php page to start the WebAssist installer which will finish installing the eCart files. after the WebAssist Installer completes, don't forget to restart DW.

Open the Mac Finder, under devices, what is the name of the Macintosh Hard Drive?

try reseting the workspace layout:
go to Window -> Work Space layout -> Reset '<your layout name>'

and deleting the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:
http://www.webassist.com/tutorials/Common-installation-issues

alsop try disabling the preview, go to WebAssist -> Preferences in the preview section check the option to disable the preview. It will still be available if you click the preview place holder to open it in the browser.

your cart display page was missing a line of code after the cart include:

<?php
//WA eCart Include
require_once("../WA_eCart/shop_PHP.php");
?>
<?php
$shop->GetContent();
?>

a blank page means that a php error is occurring but error reporting is turned off.

to turn error reporting on, add the following code at line 1:

<?php
error_reporting(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors','on');
?>

once we know what the error is, we will be able to troubleshoot the cause.

Add the following code to the checkout success page after the closing </html> tag to destroy the session:

<?php
// Initialize the session.
// If you are using session_name("something"), don't forget it now!
@session_start();

// Unset all of the session variables.
$_SESSION = array();

// If it's desired to kill the session, also delete the session cookie.
// Note: This will destroy the session, and not just the session data!
if (ini_get("session.use_cookies")) {
$params = session_get_cookie_params();
@setcookie(session_name(), '', time() - 42000,
$params["path"], $params["domain"],
$params["secure"], $params["httponly"]
);
}

// Finally, destroy the session.
@session_destroy();
@session_regenerate_id();
?>
