If the space is part of the initial value that is in the editor you should be able to adjust this from within the iRite server behavior. On the first page in the initial value area make sure nothing is listed that would cause a space to appear.

When you load the editor if you use the source button you will be able to see any code, formatting or spacing that is present.

Same for PowerStore

hi

It does it in PowerStore too - when typing in one of the iRite text areas it automatically puts a space at the beginning...

I'm not familiar with the space issue you are referring to. Do you have any screen shots of this so that we have a reference for what you are talking about?

screenshots

hi Eric

Yes screenshot attached -

This is from the standard PowerStore Insert Record page - you can see that iRite automatically adds a space at the beginning...

I dont believe that is a literal space there, it is just padding on the form element.

Hi

No it's a space, when I start typing in the box it puts a space at the beginning.

I'm happy to send you a private link so you can see for yourself...

I believe its there for a reason

I think that the space is there because otherwise you would have a null field the first time you opened the editor and this would result in an error message as the record update can't open/update a null in a memo field.

regards

jon
