Search problem and creating "View My Account" link

Search problem and creating "View My Account" link

I've created a members' area on our client's site with multiple user levels which all seems to be working great and am now in the process of creating the member admin pages. I have a couple of questions: first of all, the Search function isn't working and I have no idea why - I've created the standard admin pages using Data Assist and everything else works fine but when you hit the Search button (both on the Search page and also in the Search box on the results page) it does nothing.

Second question is I want to create a link from the member pages to "View My Account" which would take the user to the member_admin/details.php page - can you advise how I would do this?

for your first question, I'll need to troubleshoot directly, see the private message section.

when running the data assist wizard, you can select to create a details page, this will add the details link to the results page automatically.

Hi Jason

I have already set up a details page, what I need to know is how to set up the dynamic link from the text "View My Account" so that it loads the correct record in the details.php page. FTP details are in the PM section.

i updated the webassist/progress_bar/jquery-blockui-formprocessing.js file on your server to correct the search problem.

the link to the details page is already in p;acce on the results page by clicking the ID number of by clicking the Magnifying class icon.

Hi Jason

The search is working now, thanks. However, the link to the details page I'm talking about isn't the one from the results page in the member admin area. I've set up a section at the top of all the pages in the protected area of the site which says "logged in as [email address] | View My Account | Log Out. I want to set up View My Account to allow the user to go to their record and update their own details as necessary. I've put a link to the page in the PM section so that you can see what I mean.

the login page saves the loged in users ID is a session named SecurityAssist_UserID

set the link to use:
/users_detail.php?UserID=<?php echo isset($_SESSION['SecurityAssist_UserID'])?$_SESSION['SecurityAssist_UserID']:""; ?>

Hi Jason, spoke too soon... search is/was working but I had a problem with search results not clearing. I had a look in the forums and followed the instructions you gave in this post: http://www.webassist.com/forums/posts.php?id=19402

Now, although the Reset Search link works, when I click on anything else on the page it logs me out completely! Any ideas why this is happening?
