Design Extender (Responsive themes)

Design Extender (Responsive themes)

I like your products and eCart 6 looks interesting because it is responsive. My questions, relates to Design Extender. The template files (in my opinion) used to build a site are beginning to look dated. They have been there for years. None of the sites that you build using the template (as far as I can see) are 'responsive' to the new media formats. WordPress now have 'responsive' themes. Is there any chance soon that the templates will be upgraded to be responsive?

We plan to add responsive designs to Design Extender in the next upgrade. I don't have a time frame for when that will be though.

Hey Jason...has the latest upgrade come out since the above post? I have version 120. Is that responsive?

Thanks...

We have still not done a major update to Design Extender to include responsive designs.

We are correctly working on an Upgrade for Data Bridge, after that is completed, we will start working on a Design Extender Upgrade.

Being that Google is now PENALIZING sites that are not responsive to mobile devices, what is WebAssist planning to do? Essentially we need this updated ASAP. ;)

Do you have a particular site or template you are trying to make more mobile friendly? If you give me a link I can make suggestions.

Hi Ray,

I'm thinking responsive Design Extender is not available. If so, can you point me to the update. If not, then did you use an extension for the current webassist site as I see it is responsive.

Thanks!

We used design extender. We just manually added a few .css updates with media queries to make them responsive. Even though the design extender menus and page designs aren't responsive, since they are pure .css they are relatively easy to modify and make responsive.
