I am about to create a multilingual website with help of Power CMS. How can I accomplish this?

I am about to create a multilingual website. The site will have many pages in each language.

I wonder if, instead of physically creating all the pages for each language - make this dynamic in any way.

The website for the default language is already created with the help of Power CMS.

Each page has a different number of content-areas. But most of the area shall not be changed depending on the language. The change should only be made in the text-contents areas.

I wonder if it is possible to start from a template from Power-CMS to create a new language version of the page, which only exists in the CMS system. I suspect this is the smartest, because I want to change the SEO information, due to language.

If this can be done - the next question.

How do I then connect the menu to these different language-content / pages?

The menu that I have already done in CSS MenuWriter, is a centered horizontal menu - with the flag icons on the far right.

This will take some hand coding to accomplish.

you would need to set a session variable when a language is selected, then use that session to determine the content to display.

if you are not familiar with PHP coding, we can help implement this in a premiere support appointment:

So, there is no way to do this using Dreamweaver or your tools?

parts of it can be done with the tools as far as creating the content for each language. hand coding is needed though to determine which content language to display.

you would create content pages in power CMS for each page, and the content ares for that page, one for English, one for each of the other languages.

set up your site pages to display the contents for all languages, then add if statements that hide / show the appropriate language based on the menu selection.
