eCart 6 crashes DW CC

Hello - I just bought eCart6 and can't get it to run with DW CC. The installation file is very small (under 2mb). Have I got the right thing?

I managed to get it to open with DW CS6 - the installation asked to remove eCart5.

The error I see when using DW CC is a javascript error.

What do need to do to make the error go away and try and get eCart 6 working?
Thanks

Yes, the MXP file for eCart 6 installs a base set of files, 2MB sounds about right. when you start dreamweaver, it should start the webAssist Installer which will downlload the rest of the files and install them.

Any time you are installing a new version of an extension, you should always uninstall the previous version from the extension manager first. Installing the new version over the perevious version will cause issues like you are having.

follow step 12 of the Adobe troubleshooting guide to recreate the users configuration folder:
http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/troubleshoot-javascript-errors-dreamweaver-cs4.html#main_user_config

then uninstall eCart from the extension manger and install it again.

when you open Dreamweaver, it should start the webAssist Installer to finish the installation process.
