error on update

Hi Jason

Just updated my Free Tools installations to the latest version and now I keep getting the following error whenever I am in a page and trying to edit it:

While executing findConnection in WADYN_CONN.htm, a JavaScript error occurred

EDIT: I have uninstalled all extensions and also DW CS6 now, and, after reinstalling everything, am now getting the attached error.

have you reset the workspace layout:
go to Window -> Work Space layout -> Reset '<your layout name>'

and Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:

thanks Jason - I had deleted cache file already (which didnt help) but will try the layout reset you suggest tomorrow

Right.

In CS6:

Installing the new free tools initially causes the errors above. Your solution fixes that but, the hotspot tool in the properties tab stops working.
Trying to uninstall free tools in the extension manager seems to work fine, but when you go to open DW and the uninstall window opens it just hangs and does nothing. You have to close it manually and once you do this a number of error windows show up. I'm afraid I dont have those errors to hand.

In CS5:

Install is fine and again, using your solution, the initial error messages go. Hotspot works absolutely fine but the uninstall of free tools basically has the same effect as in the CS6 version.

I have tested both on a desktop (Win7 Pro) and a laptop (also Win7 Pro)

please provide more detail on what you mean by this sentence:

I'm not familiar with the "hotspot tool" you are referring to.

sorry not sure why I said hotspot, I meant the image map side of things. With the free tools update, the polygon image map doesnt work.. it allows max 2 points before it restarts with a new set of coords.

so basically to sum up the problems you report are:

1) with free tolls installed, you cannot create image maps

2) uninstalling free tools causes errors

correct?
