Doc download from another source

With the file download tools is it possible to download a file that is on a different server? I have correctly added the proper path to the file on the second server but it won't download .... pretends to but nothing happens. Just refreshes the page.

no, the download behavior cannot access the file system of another server. It will only be able to access the file system of the server it is hosted on.
