Issue when Inserting or Updating a new product using GoDaddy hosting with Power Store 4

Recently GoDaddy has implemented mod security on there PHP servers. This change is causing the Products insert and products update pages of Power Store 4 to fail with an error saying the server unexpectadly droped the connection.

In Safari, the error may look like:

  Safari can't open the page "http://www.yourdomain.com/admin/products_insert.php" because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again.

In Fire Fox:

  The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Attached are updated copies of the power store admin/products_insert.php and admin/products/update.php file to correct the problem.

UPDATE: This effects the Installation of new Power Store sites also. Attached is a copy of the install/database.php file to fix that problem.

Similar Mod_Security Problem with DataAssist

I'm having a similar problem with GoDaddy regarding mod_security. When I try to inject data into the database, I receive attached error.

GoDaddy told me that I was creating to many posts within some time frame. I narrowed down whatever is causing the security issue to the php script above <head>.

I would like to know what you changed in or around the "Insert" script to resolve the issue with Power Store.

Similar Mod_Security Problem with DataAssist (2)

I found out the problem. Codes that are triggering the security are things like:

<input>
javascript:void();

I'm being prevented from injecting these common codes into the database. It limits the use of the HTML Editor among things. Nothing I can do about it.

the mod security addon is trying to prevent SQL injection by flagging the insert of javascript to the database. maybe if you had a dedicated hosting account you could have more control of the security settings. the only other workaround would be different hosting.

I unzipped the 3 files, GoDaddyInstallFix.zip and GoDaddyProductsFix.zip
uploaded to my GoDaddy hosting in the same directory, and went through the Install , but I got the same result

I don't know where is a Problem Solving thread;
