Group Manager

I have set up group manager for email addresses?? I believe this is possible as it's not thrown me a error!!

When I log in and try to access the page that has the access restriction, I am redirected to my error page

My session value is working as this is showing on my admin page - i.e you are logged in as ???, but it doesn't seem to be working for the page restriction. I have <?php @session_start(); ?> on the first line of the recipient page and cannot find any other programming errors.

please provide more details.

What, specifically, are you trying to accomplish?

how is the group configured? how is the access rule configured?

Hi Jason,

I think I've figured this out.

I wanted to create a "super admin" using "email addresses" but I've found that this is not possible.

It is possible however using the user ID (SecurityAssist_ID) when logging in.

For some reason SecurityAssist -Access Group Manager - only accepts integers as 'Group Members' and not 'text fields' for 'email addresses'

I've entered a group field as an integer and it works perfectly

The Group manager will accept text for group members. You just need to make sure that the variable you are using for a comparison contains the same text.

What variable where you using to compare to?

to store the email in a session at login, edit the Security Assist Authenticate user behavior on the login page.

On the session tab, click the plus button and select the email column form your users table.

use that session for the comparison in your rule.

Hi Jason,

Happy New Year. I hope you had a good Christmas and Santa was good to you.

I got this working OK in the end. It now accepts text. I do think I forgot to update the server with the new files but I cannot be sure.

Thanks for your help again

Andy
