How can the path to Perl Mail be modified?

Hello Jason,

My client uses 1&1 shared hosting server for her website and I am encountering problems with getting Universal Email to send email forms. My client contacted 1&1 to ask specifically for the path to Pear as I requested and was sent the link below. How can I modify the path to Perl Mail so that the SMTP can connect to the server?

Thanks.

In universal Email, click the envelope icon to enter the Mail Server settings dialog, one of the settings in the dialog is the path to pear.

that is the path to Pearl which is not the same as Pear.

Pearl is a scripting language

Pear is a PHP Module.

With 1 and 1 you should not need to use Pear Mail for sending emails in UE. You can use the standard Mail protocol,

I've now used the standard mail protocol, I am not getting any error message neither is the form being sent.
I have tried ports 25 and 587 and SMTP Server: auth.smtp.1and1.co.uk, however the email is not sending nor am I getting any error message.

I will give it a try.

Just tried it and does not give an error message nor has it sent the form. Any more suggestions?

make sure you are using a valid from address for your domain in the from settings.

take out any redirects in UE and add the following code to write session data:

<?php var_dumpo($_SESSION); ?>

this will include a status to tell if the email is being sent to the server,
