Dreamweaver Extension Failure errors??

I just got a new computer and I installed my Dreamweaver on it and installed some extensions and I get these errors:

Is this because I need to reset my account extensions.

I am getting a lot of errors like these:

The Following JavaScript error(s) Occurred:

Unable to open script file “C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration\Shared\WebAssist\Library\WA_Configurations.js”(error3). Unable to open script file “C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration\Shared\WebAsssit\Library\WA_XML.js” (error 3).
ReferenceError: WA_getConfigurationPath is not defined.

At line 49 of file “C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration\Startup\Momento_Startup.htm”:
ReferenceError: Frequency is not defined.

If you were able to activate it shouldn't be an issue of resetting activations.

Try deleting your winfilecache. Here's a thread that has a good explanation of this:

Dreamweaver Extension Failures

I don't have this path on my computer:

C:\Documents & Settings\[user_name]\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver 9\Configuration

After my user_name I just have Desktop, Favorties, My Documents and Start Menu.

I also have Dreamweaver 8

I am still getting the same errors. I have looked at the Configuration file in Dreamweaver's folder on the c drive but don't know where to even start.

Any ideas??

The Application Data is a hidden folder, so you will have to set your Windows Explorer to display hidden folders.

Dreamweaver Extension Failure errors??

I can go as far as the folder "Adobe" I do not have Dreamweaver 9 I have DW8. In the Adobe folder I only have the folders Acrobat and Flash Player.

I did enable hidden folders so that I can see them now. I do have a Macromedia folder in the Application Data folder. Is the file I need to delet in there?

Yes, since you're using Dreamweaver 8, you will find the winfilecache under:
C:\Users\[user_name]\AppData\Roaming\macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration

Dreamweaver Extension Failure errors??

I just deleated the file and nothing has changed. I still get the same errors. I think I am going to need one of your digital proctologists to perform a computer colonoscopy. I am asuming that these endoscopic exams are only performed during the week? Is this so? If it is I will have to do it next week.

Any other suggestions before I begin down this road?

Did you make sure to close Dreamweaver and Extension Manager when you deleted the winfilecache?

Dreamweaver Extension Failure errors??

I did close DW and I did download and install extensions. I have just noticed that I do not have the extension manager installed. I would think you could not install extension without the extension manager?

I had forgot that you had to install the extension manager.

I have downloaded it an attempted to install and have received this error:

Error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded installations\Macromedia Extension Manager 1.7\Macromedia_Extension_Manager.msi

I have tried to repair and I still get the error above.

I can see the extension manager folder and the extensions in the folder. Should I uninstall the extension manager via control panel Add or Remove??

I just removed the extension manager and I was able to reinstall without errors but upon running DW I still get the same errors.

What do you think about removing DW and reinstalling and then install the extension manager. Then I should be able to reinstall the extensions, what do you think?

Just removed DW8 and extension manager and then reinstalled all of it and I get the same errors.

I don't know where to go from here. Any suggestion??
