Wireframe in Results page creation

Wireframe in Results page creation

I am using a new install of Data Assist. I have started the wizard. All goes well. When I get to step 4 - Setting the Results page Options, there is only one option for the wireframe layout. My database is for a list of companies that have no images or descriptions, but do have addresses, phones and websites.
How do I get another wireframe (for example similar to the one you show in the instructions for the Blue Sky Magic in the DataAssist GSG)?

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Step 4 of the DataAssist wizard is for specifying which items you want to appear in the results page. If you want all these to show up, just make sure to add them to the list when you're on this step.

If you want to change the visual appearance of the pages, you can specify a template to use (you can use Dreamweaver to create a template) or you can edit the page after DataAssist has created the pages.

If this isn't what you're looking for, could you post back and be more specific on what your issue is?

response to wireframe question

Sorry - I got wrapped up with another client's design. Back to this one.
My database is thus: I have a list of businesses that have their addresses, phone, website and a category. When a visitor searches for "Real Estate" all the businesses that are in the category Real estate display on the Results page. Then the visitor clicks on the one they want and the busiesses' detail page displays which also lists a description, logo, coupon and job openings.
As I start the DA Wizard I am creating all pages but the delete.

I am using a Dreamweaver template and placing the DA created items in an editable region. For the results DA creates a table with all the elements in the wireframe portion of step 4 and places it that editable region. The only thing I get to "set" is which of my field goes into which of the cells of the preformatted table. I want to select my own table and layout. I tried to place a table in the editable region, but DA just ignored it and built its own with its own id and class names to match its css file.

You stated : >> specifying which items you want to appear in the results page. If you want all these to show up, just make sure to add them to the list when you're on this step. >>

I get to do those choices when making the Details Pages.

I can go into my results page after DA wizard has done its thing and reformat the table, but it seems like I shouldn't have to. The wizard is talking product infomation and I don't have anything like that in my database or template.

Hope this has given more information to help me with my dilemma.

More information found

I have a problem with Web Assist help from within Dreamweaver. Not an issue for now but because of it I searched your support site to see if there was a pdf version of the help files. Yes - Support > Documentation > Recent Updates > January 2009 > Help PDFs > Data Assist.

Pages 15 and 16 show my problem. It is in creating the public pages of the Results not the Administrative. However it still doesn't state how to get different wireframes that do not deal with 'products'. It just states "there are two standard layouts selected automatically depending on ..." columns chosen

Currently there is no functionality for creating your own wireframe layout and inserting the items into the custom wireframe. I will put in a feature request for this and the feature may show up in a future release. For now you will have to edit the table layout after the pages have been created. I apologize for the inconvenience.
