Design Extender activation problem

Design Extender activation problem

I have just purchased Design Extender.
When I try and install the extension I get the following: a green tick next to the serial number when I enter it, but I also get the following error message: “Unexpected error: 18. Activation cannot be completed.”

I have tried deleting the MacFileCache.dat file.
I have tried removing then reinstalling the extension (then deleting the MacFileCached.dat file).
I have tried removing all Webassist extensions then reinstalling only the Design Extender extension.
I have even also tried reseting activations.
All to no avail. Any suggestions on how to fix this please?
