retain search value

Trying to retain search values in conditional drop down lists

Tried this reply found in the forum .... posts.php?id=26965

create a URL Binding for each drop down.
go to the bindings panel and click the plus button, and select URL Variable. set the name to "security" for the Security dropdown, or "environment" for the environment dropdown,, etc.

then in design view, select each list, in the property inspector, click the dynamic button. For the Select Value Equal to option, click the lightning bolt icon and select the corresponding URL Variable binding.

Form has 3 search fields
1 & 2nd are not conditional
3 shows values related to 2

and using method above, values are only retained in search fields 1 & 2, not the conditional drop down

suggestions ?

Dynamic Dropdowns includes a behavior called Set Selected in List that you will need to use for this.

you will need to add this behavior and the Populate list From Array behavior to the Onload event of the body tag.

Select the body tag, on the behaviors tab, click the plus button. select Webassist -> Dynamic Drop Downs -> Set selected in list.

for the target list, select the parent list, for the value, click the lightning bolt and select the corresponding URL Variable binding.

Now add a populate list from array behavior to populate the child list.

finally add a second set selected in list behavior to set the child list value.
