plugin page times out or is slow to load

I have a framework based site with a plugin page which populates a table from a recordset, containing about 300 rows.

The query runs in a fraction of a second, and the plugin page by itself loads up within a few seconds, but if I insert the plugin to a framework page, it often times out.

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /filepath/webassist/framework/framework.php on line 175

I don;t want to increase the timeout execution, I just wondered what the bottleneck was

but if I insert the plugin to a framework page,

what do you mean by a Framework page?

Plugins are a part of framework builder, so the plugin page _is_ a framework page.

please provide a copy of the page and a link where i can see the problem. to get a better understanding.
