Univ Email not sending form data if respondent is on same top-level domain

The form I have works fine EXCEPT if the respondent enters their email address and it's the same domain as where the responses are being sent, i.e., if I have the filled form sending to xyz@gmail.com, all responses are fine, including *blank* email fields, but if the respondent's email is joeblow@gmail.com, the email isn't sent. Ideas?

for the from address, you should use a static email address that exists on your domain.

click the from button to enter the advanced from settings, and set the reply to email address to use the dynamic binding.

Aha! Thanks. I searched around but had only seen it was a problem if it was from the *same* address - didn't realize the top-lev domain was also an issue.
Cheers!
