Spry Validation

Spry Validation

I ran security assist and did NOT use a template, somehow I missed the option when I ran the "wizard". So now I attempted to copy and past the corresponding content in the correct regions and verified I did not miss anything and the spry validation appears all the time instead of only when it is supposed to. I started over and recreated my framework page and then installed a plug on of the original page and I have the same issue.
Orig Page http://www.helpinghandsvirtualassistants.com/_User_Registration.php
Content in framework page. http://www.helpinghandsvirtualassistants.com/User-Registration.php
Both files as you can see are in the root.
I have attached the FTP info and the database info.
Thank You!

in your style.css file, you have the following css:

#body div span {
display: block;
}

which is forcing the spry validation error messages to be visible.

style issue resolved, forgot user id

Thank You, the style issues is resolved. Now I see I neglected to include a userid field in my form. Is it easiest to modify the pages or just start over?

User Log In Id is what I meant

Sorry, I did not clarify User Log In Id, so once registered you cannot log in as there is no log in id stored. I would prefer to just use the email as the log in id if we can simply modify the log in page to look for that.

user ID should not be a part of the form.

the user ID column in your database should be an auto increment column so that it gets a value automatically.

In the security assist wizard, you can select to use the email address as the username column if you like, but the registration and login pages should not include a user ID field, you don't want the user to enter a value for that field, it is managed by the database.
