Missing file - WA_UserInterface.js

Missing file - WA_UserInterface.js

When I try to insert a server redirect behavior by selecting "Insert-->WA Utilities-->Server Redirect" I get an error telling me that I'm it can't open file "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS3\configuration\Shared\WebAssist\DigitalFilePro\Library\WA_UserInterface.js".

I've disabled and re-enabled the extension but it made no difference. When I re-activate, I receive a lot of alerts that it's attempting to overwrite existing versions of the same file so I assume that this file would be recreated at the same time but it's not.

This utility is part of Digital File Pro (1.1). Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Try deleting your win/mac filecache. This thread has a good explanation of this:

Note: As long as you are installing the latest version of the product, it is safe to say yes to replace all files when Extension Manager prompts you.

Hey, I am getting the same error when I try to use the server redirect utility. (error 3) - whatever that means. I have removed the .dat file as suggested, but I still get the error. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the DA plugin.
The error occurs on the first attempt, and any attempt thereafter does nothing at all. No error and no functionality. If I close DW and try again, I get the error again.

Thanks

What is your version of Dreamweaver?

What version of Digital File Pro?

Can you send a screen shot of the extensions manager showing the other extensions you have installed and version numbers?

What is your OS?

Hey Jason,

I'm still on CS3. Version 1.1.3 of Digital File Pro. I am on Windows 7 64bit.
I noticed that there was no WebAssist folder at C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS3\configuration\Shared\ at all so I tried copying the WebAssist folder to there from the AppData location. There were still errors however, but they were different from the original. There is no WA_UserInterface.js file in DFP's Library folder. I tried copying that file from a different plugins Library folder, but still get errors for other files.

Thanks for your time!

do not copy the files from the Users Configuration folder to the one under the Program Files(x86) directory.

the way that Dreamweaver works is to look for the file first in the program files directory, if it is not there, it then look in the Users configuration folder.

here ia an updated copy of the configuration/commands/WA_Redirect.htm file to correct the problem. Please copy it to the users configuration folder

Thanks Jason,

The panel now loads and I can choose the redirect trigger and enter a page to redirect to, but all the images are broken so I can't really tell what to click on...

This is an issue that is caused by recent updates to Adobe Flash.

The buttons along the bottom are in this order from left to right:
