Public Users in addtl to CMS Users

I want to add the ability for our customers to register on a PowerCMS Site. Registered users (not CMS admins) will be able log on and request services via a service request form that I plan to create using Datassist. Would you recommend modifying the existing registration page to work for end users or running security assist? We will obviously want these users to be assigned a different access/group level.
Thank You!!

Since you want to assign a different access group on registration for these users, i would suggest creating a new registration form. This is not a supported modification for PCMS though, We could give more specific instruction thrugh a premiere support appointment.
