PowerGallery functions.opendir Error: functionsPHP5Compatible.php on line 31

I downloaded and installed PowerGallery today at this URL http://www.trailking.biz/gallery The installation went smooth, adding images was also without issue. If I choose to preview however I get the following error:

Warning: opendir(/usr/local/apache2/htdocs/trailkingbiz/gallery/galleries/_notes/css/themes/) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/trailkingbiz/gallery/admin_gallery/common/functionsPHP5Compatible.php on line 31

This same error then shows up if I embed on to a PHP page.

Also - The support forums reference a file or something that had to be modified in order to embed or display the gallery from a database, "database implementation update" which is supposed to be in the installation examples section of the site. This is nowhere to be found now, which may mean that the issue has been addressed through an update.

I however am not able to use the embed code to display the gallery on a dynamic page, which to me means that the "database implementation" is still needed...any idea as to where I might find these instructions? Your site search did not produce results and Google also did not produce relevant results.

So in short, my questions are 1. how do I clear up the error on functionsPHP5Compatible.php line 31 and 2. How do I modify the files to allow me to use a database to embed the gallery dynamically onto a PHP page as it is implied by the database implementations mentions in other support strings?

delete the gallery/galleries/_notes folder form the server.
