Successful setting PEAR mail

I've been trying unsuccessfully for months to transition for mail to PEAR mail settings on Universal Email 4.0.1 on several different host.

I have set up a test page at:

http://cindydaigle.org/test.php

I have also added the error code that you suggested on another thread you've answered.

Please help, thanks

the error:
Warning: require_once(Mail.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /vservers/cindydaigleo/htdocs/webassist/email/PEAR_Mail_using_SMTP_php.php on line 115

means that the path to pear is not correct.

you will need to contact the host to determine the correct path to pear.

this error means that the host is not allowing access to the /vservers/c10830-h215666/htdocs/webassist/email path on your server due to the open_basedir restriction.

they will need to add /vservers/c10830-h215666/htdocs/webassist/email to the list of allowed paths.

That mean that there is a problem with the path to pear.

In the Pear Installation of the Mail object, there will be a Mail.php file. the path to pear needs to point to the the pear mail installation so that it can locate the pear mail Mail.php file. That file is installed with the pear mail package. The path to pear needs to point to the pear mail location on the server.
